Most Anticipated Books of 2018

With all the amazing books that are coming out this year, I figured a list of the ones I am most excited to read would be a great way to keep them all straight. So without further ado, the first book on my list is:

1. War Storm by Victoria Aveyard

This is the fourth and final book in the Red Queen series, where we will follow Mare Barrow in the Kingdom of Norta. The first three books were amazing so I am expecting the best from Victoria Aveyard, and cannot wait to see how this series will conclude.

2. A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir

Again, this is a final release in a series so I am looking forward to how everything will wrap up (hopefully Sabaa won’t leave us too heartbroken). The Blood Shrike, Helene Aquilla is one of my favorite characters and I cannot wait to see how much she will develop in this last book, and finally decide which side she will fight on.

3. A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

This is a novella that follows the events after ACOWAR in the Night Court with Feyre and the Inner Circle. It’s the Winter Solstice (and Feyre’s Birthday!!) so it should be interesting how this novella will set up events for the next three books that Sarah J. Maas has planned.

4. Untitled Throne of Glass 7

I really wanted this to be higher up on my most anticipated list, but I’ve been trying to pretend that the end of Empire of Storms never happened. It was so so so heartbreaking that I am very scared for all of our favorite characters and Assassin Queen. There isn’t much detail out right now about this final installment, but I imagine they will keep it under-wraps to avoid spoilers and leaks.

5. Legendary by Stephanie Garner

This is the sequel to the book Caraval, and I can’t wait! I read the first book in a day because I was just so captivated by it, I couldn’t put it down. This installment will follow Tella, Scarlet’s little sister, navigating through Caraval as a player this time and all the obsticals she has to overcome in the game. I hope we find out Legend’s identity, and maybe even the inside workings of Caraval.

6. Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

I gotta say, I am a huge fan of this author and absolutely love everything she writes. This is the third book in the Dark Artifices series, and after being totally CRUSHED by the ending of Lord of Shadows, I am glad this one comes out so late in the year so I can have some time to recover! Emma Carstairs is one of my favorite female characters ever because she is just so strong and takes control of her life. I can’t wait to see how the rest of this story unfolds, and where it will lead her.

7. Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody

I have never read a book by this author, but by the reactions and reviews by some of my favorite book bloggers and bookstagrammers, I am putting this on my list because they just can’t stop raving about this one.

8. Furyborn by Claire Legend

This will be my first time reading a book by Claire Legend, but from what I’ve heard, this is a book to put on your radar. According to the synopsis, this book follows two young ladies a thousand years apart whose lives somehow intertwine.

I’m sure throughout the year I will be adding even more books to this list, but so far, these are the ones I am most excited for. Let me know down below in the comments if we have are anticipating any of the same books! Also, once these books have come out, or if I’m lucky enough to snag an ARC of any of these, I will be posting reviews so make sure you keep an eye out for that! Thank you for taking the time to read this blog post and your continued support!
